Level 1: The Zanshin
The Zanshin is an online publication that runs twice monthly and is brought together by a team of experts to assist us in our aikido practice.
It is run by Stefan Barton Sensei, 6th dan aikido and founder / head instructor of Golden Triangle Aikido for over 20 years, with the help of other experts in aikido, health, and other related fields. The word zanshin means one’s state of awareness, remaining alert, mindful. This publication focuses on a different topic each month and covers the spectrum of intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual perspectives.
Level 2: Develop Your Aikido Craft
This subscription receives the Zanshin newsletter and further regular training updates and resources for highly developed aikido practice. It covers intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of training and addresses common technical problems as well as content outside of normal aikido movements, such as fitness and combat.
Level 3: Enhanced Coaching Program
In addition to The Zanshin and aikido craft content (see above), get the opportunity to have direct discussions and feedback from Sensei Barton.
Join Sensei for a monthly coaching meeting to discuss different ideas every month all related to the journey of aikido. These group online meetings can include technical details, teaching points, relationships to other martial arts, and direct history and cultural context from someone who has trained for many years in Japan directly under some of the world’s top aikidoka. Meetings currently run on a Thursday evening.
Beginner special: Join us for 1 month at the dojo to try out aikido. Includes a free uniform!
Dojo memberships run monthly and members can join any number of classes. Adult and children’s classes are both offered. Be aware that there is also an annual fee ($50 individual / $55 family) for our operation as a dojo.
Adult classes have a discounted student rate (university, high school, etc), and we also provide discounts for siblings and families (contact us for details!).
